Faisal Ibrahim Al-Suleiman (born on September 22, 1976) is a Jordanian footballer, of Palestinian origin. He plays as a defender for Al-Wahdat, and is a member of the Jordan national football team and has always played as player number 16.
Career
He is one of the previous team-captains of his national team until he retired. The mark of his retirement in football took place on September 16, 2010 in Amman at the King Abdullah Stadium before a friendly match between Jordan and Iraq in preparation for the 2010 WAFF championship. Before he officially retired, Faisal played the first 5 minutes of the match. As the referee of the match blew his whistle after the first 5 minutes to stop the match for Faisal to leave the field, Faisal gave his Jersey #16 to his teammate Basem Fat'hi as well as the captain armband to Hassouneh Al-Sheikh.
